How will my pose, expression and lighting of the image convey my message?
Forget one of these three keys and the overall image suffers.
POSING: includes posture, head tilt, head positioning, shoulder tilt and positioning, angle in relationship to the camera, arms positioning (crossed or not) to name a few items. Body language is visual and can make or break your message.
EXPRESSION: relates to your eyes, brows, and mouth – do you want to convey a stern appearance, playful, or a warm and friendly one? It depends on your profession and/or the message you wish to convey.
LIGHTING: your headshot, creates the mood. Alysia knows how to best capture the mood you are going for through strategic placement of her lights/strobes. This requires experience and an understanding of light.

How will the location/background help convey my message?
What you wear and what background you are photographed in front of can have a huge affect on the final outcome of your image. Combining inappropriate color palettes or distracting backgrounds that don't directly correlate or compliment your message, can take away from the main subject of the image –YOU.
Alysia, your photographer, will help determine the background setting/colors to present you and your message in the best “light”.

PICTURE 2 - Traditional businessperson - more formal look
PICTURE 3 - Acting - dress for "type"
Consult with Alysia and ask them for her do’s and don’ts information on what to wear for your shoot. She will help you with color selections, patterns etc.
